The new Nissan Sentra is a combination of old reliability, attractive styling and high quality.

At first glance, the all new Nissan Sentra has very striking looks.

You can tell it’s a Nissan from the bold headlights which have always been a Nissan trait, as well as strong lines and smooth styling.
The Sentra name badge has always had a positive impact to consumers and fans over many years.

In the 1990s, many remembered the Nissan sentra’s for good quality build, willing engine’s with great fuel economy and overall reliability.

The Nissan Sentra has always competed with the likes of Toyota, Mazda and Honda over the years, and with the Sentra name gone for almost a decade, will the new Sentra maintain the same standard of class economy and reliable motoring? Let’s have a look.

Firstly the new car looks a whole lot better then one would expect, as many found the Nissan Tiida rather rental car looking.-

Upon entry of the cabin, one gets a sense of class and convenience.
The cabin offers class leading space with overall good ergonomics.

Controls are well centred around the driver as well as buttons on the steering wheel to access the infotainment system with ease. –
The car also features Bluetooth.
The driver armrest in the centre console has a dual function, it extends to give the driver more space to rest his arm and it acts as storage space.
The centre console features cup holders and smokers package and towards the dashboard, air con and radio.
The driver seat and steering wheel have rake and reach adjustments in order to find the suitable position for the driver.
The interior is in high quality black cloth and has partial leather trimmings and aluminium brush finish that create great ambiance with an upmarket feel and modern trim that will age well.

Boot space is impressive and a space saver wheel is under the flooring of the boot.
With regards to the safety in the car, one can expect 6 airbags, ABD + EBD as well as driver aids that make a perfect combination of active and passive safety.

The displacement of the engine is a 1.6L with 85kw and 154NM of torque, multipoint fuel injection and a remarkable fuel consumption figure of 6.2 litres to 100km, as per manufacturers claim*.
The car is also available in the traditional 5 speed manual transmission or you could spoil yourself with the CVT auto gearbox, for smooth fuss free gear change. The car is able to reach a top speed of 180km* as per manufactures claim.

The maintenance of the car is every 15000kms and includes a service plan as well as warranty and roadside assistance.

The car should be selling in the region of R230900+- , of which is value for money considering the standard features of the car and market segment that it is aimed at. Welcome back Nissan, it was long awaited.
