NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION: PROPOSED ESTABLISHMENT OF FACILITIES FOR CHICKEN LAYERS ON PORTION 119 OF FARM ELANDSVLEI 249-IQ IN RANDFONTEIN Notice is given in terms of regulation 41(2) of Government Notice No. R.326 (7 April 2017) published under section 24(5) and 44 of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) of the submission of an application for environmental authorisation in respect of activity 5 of Government Notice No. R.327. The proposed chicken layers will be established on portion 119 (a portion of portion 30) of the farm Elandsvlei 249-IQ within West Rand City Local Municipality. An application for environmental authorisation has been lodged with the competent authority (Gauteng Provincial Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment) and assigned reference number – GAUT 002/24-25/E4013.
Shubini Consulting & Management Services has been appointed as an independent Environmental Assessment Practitioner to undertake the required Environmental Impact Assessment and related Public Participation Process for the proposed project. The purpose of this notice is to notify potential interested and affected parties wishing to formally register in order to offer their comments on the project.
