Parents came out to lend a helping hand as the project moves on to the school campus A.

The day saw parents and locals also gathered in the school to show support.

The project originally began last year on November 4 and saw the Absa team accomplish their objective of repainting, cleaning, and providing a special lunch to the learners.

Speaking to the publication about the project, Collin Molepe, Absa insurance company managing executive said they are proud to announce their new project which forms part as their new partnership with the school and they are working towards having more similar initiatives which they believe will benefit the school.

Parents cannot help but lend a helping hand as the project moves on to the school campus A.

He added that they are working with qualified engineers and individuals in construction as well as some of their repair supply clients who donated the painting material and provided guidelines on how to use them.

“We have identified a need in the school where we want to contribute in helping shape the school’s infrastructure and some of the needs they have,” Molepe said.

He also said they hope this small contribution will help make the teaching and learning environment comfortable and conducive.

“This is just is giving back to our communities because we know and understand the importance of good infrastructure.

“Moving forward we are going to focus on the education aspect and in future we are hoping to adopt some of the learners in the school and invest in their education.”

The principal of Ditawana Primary School, Sonto Luvuno said it is with the help of dedicated stakeholders such as Absa that their school is now recognisable and parents long for their children to attend there.

Luvuno added that they are grateful to Absa for the project and going forward they would like for more sponsors to come on board to also lend a hand where they can.

Parents and residents joined in to support a great initiative.

“We hope for more partnerships from here and we are grateful to have been noticed to receive this great gesture,” Luvuno said.
