Parents and School Governing Body (SGB) members gathered at Florida Avenue Primary School yesterday to prevent a male Grade Six teacher from entering the premises.
This comes after the teacher was forcefully evicted by the angry community on October 17.
Allegations Against the Teacher
The teacher faces numerous allegations, including physically hurting a female learner, who was rushed to the hospital and emotional and verbal abuse where he smacking kids, spitting on a learner’s face, and having disturbing conversations with children during class.

Community Reaction
The community’s actions were sparked by the teacher’s alleged harmful behavior, where he was accused of teaching learners explicit content and using them to demonstrate how to have sex and how women give birth.
The physical abuse case against the teacher is currently pending in court.
Soweto Urban has reached out to the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) spokesperson, Steve Mabona, for comment.
