The memorial service of the five children who died of suspected food poisoning is currently underway at the Naledi Community Hall.
Residents of Soweto have come out in their numbers to support the grieving families.
The Gauteng MEC for Education, Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Matome Chiloane, is also expected to attend the memorial service.

On Sunday, October 6, the children were rushed to a local clinic when they experienced complications after they ate snacks bought from a local spaza shop.
Five had since passed away while one is still fighting for his life in ICU.
They are expected to be laid to rest this coming Sunday, October 13.
