The market day brought together the Wakanda Food Accelerator, COJ agro processors, farmers, and local schools who hoped to demonstrate innovative goods, share information, and create business connections.

The Soweto agro-processors’ market day was held on September 28 at Dlamini Shopping Centre, showcasing the best local agricultural products and innovation.

The chairperson of Soweto agro-processors, Ntokozo Ntuli, said: “This event opened doors for us to connect with customers, partners and retail stores. The interest in our process was overwhelming. We already secured new orders.’’

Exhibitors at the Soweto agro-processors market day included Loxion Fruit Bev, Lopres, Yarona Beverages, Be Merry Food, Makorios Seed Pty and Qaboha.

Pace College teacher Hon’wani said: “I was impressed by the quality and diversity of products on display.’’
Ntuli thanked all those who supported the initiative and expressed gratitude for the chance they received.

“Soweto agro-processors thank the people of Soweto for the support on the day and would also like to thank Wakanda Food Accelerator and the City of Joburg for the support and belief in us through the process,’’ said Ntuli.

He further thanked the Absa Maponya Mall branch and Soweto Farmers Market for responding when they asked for help and hopes to make great partners in future.
