Young learners set demonstrate robotic skills in Eldos

Learners aged 4-6 from Eldos, Ennerdale, Lenasia, and surrounding areas will demonstrate their robotics skills at Eldomaine High School from 11:00 to 14:00.

The Eldos Chess, Robotics and Coding Club (ECRCC) is proud to host the robotics showcase event, celebrating the achievements of 90 Early Childhood Development learners from various centres across Eldorado Park.

On October 5, the learners aged 4-6 from Eldos, Ennerdale, Lenasia, and surrounding areas will demonstrate their robotics skills at Eldomaine High School from 11:00 to 14:00.

The event promises to be an exciting display of STEM education in action.

“We are thrilled to see our young learners showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork,” said Alicia McPherson, founder of ECRCC.

“This event is a testament to the dedication of our students, teachers, and partners in promoting STEM education and 21st-century skills.”

She said the exhibits and demonstrations showcase will feature core values exhibits, building demonstrations, six brick demonstrations and interactive displays.

Following the showcase, students will receive certificates, gifts, and party packs, making it a fun-filled family day.

With 70 ECD centres participating, ECRCC’s Robotics Program offers three levels including foundation (ages 4-6), intermediate and advanced.

This event celebrates the achievements of the foundation-level students, with separate events planned for intermediate and advanced levels in November.

“Our goal is to empower young minds with critical thinking, creativity, and innovation skills, preparing them for a rapidly changing world. We believe that every child deserves access to quality STEM education,” McPherson emphasized.
