A 26-year-old suspect linked to the murder of an e-hailing driver in Berea, Johannesburg, has been arrested by the JMPD at the Jabulani Hostel in Soweto on September 26.

The arrest was a result of a joint operation involving the JMPD Tactical Response Unit and the SAPS Gauteng Tracking Team.

According to JMPD spokesperson, Xolani Fihla, the suspect was caught sleeping in his room, still wearing the same clothing seen at the crime scene on Lilly and Olivia streets in Berea.
