Joburg Speaker donates blankets to fire victims of Zamimpilo
This was after locals of the area were displaced after a fire incident. The Speaker went back to give a helping hand.
The speaker of the Council in the City of Johannesburg, Nobuhle Mthembu, recently donated blankets to the Zamimpilo informal settlement community next to Riverlea.
Mthembu returned to the Zamimpilo informal settlement following the fire that displaced some residents.

Mthembu used her visit to inform the dwellers of some steps her office would take to mitigate the challenges because of the fire and emphasised the need to move with speed to address basic service.
She urged residents of Johannesburg to be more vigilant as the city had a few infernos in the past weeks which claimed innocent lives.
