Crime meeting identifies crime hotspot in Old Eldos

The Eldorado Park SAPS held a two-hour-long sector crime meeting led by the Sector one manager at Jamilla Centre, Old Eldorado Park, on July 29.
According to Sergeant Fezeka Khobo, the Media Liaison Officer of Eldorado Park SAPS, the purpose of the meetings was to discuss and come up with solutions on how the community can work together with the police to combat crime in the area.

“The police service would like to emphasise that it is vital for residents to report any illegal activities in the area. Crime hotspots at old Eldorado Park were identified, and some of the proposed solutions included requests for more police visibility in the sector,” said Sergeant Khobo.
Present stakeholders included Eldorado Park SAPS Sector one and four managers, the CPF, Crime Prevention Wardens, the Ward councillor and the
general public.
