Soccer tourney offers opportunity to upskill players in Eldos

Mike Ntombela Sports Management hosted a talent identification tournament at EXT 2, Eldorado Park Soccer Fields on June 30.

Five local football associations (LFA) from KwaZulu Natal and Gauteng used the opportunity to expose some of their skilled players to scouts.

The LFAs include Madadeni and Umhlathuza from Newcastle and Soweto, Eldorado and Orange Farm from Gauteng.

According to the head of competitions at Eldorado LFA, Owen Pery the purpose of the tournament was to identify talented players who will work with Mike Ntombela to become professional players.

Pery also expressed gratitude to Ntombela for giving the children an opportunity.

“We thank PA for opening their doors to our kids and our local league and continuing to be there for our community.

“We want to thank all the parties that were involved, especially the Eldorado LFA for making this a special and memorable day.

“May the good work continue and may we lead with purposeful action and give our youth a chance to a better future,” said Pery.
