KFC Mini-Cricket commemorates 15 years anniversary

The KFC National Seminar's success demonstrates the programme's long-term influence and the volunteer coaches' unwavering dedication.

The KFC Mini-Cricket National Seminar hosted at the prestigious Arabella Hotel, Golf and Spa in Hermanus, commenced by uniting 136 dedicated KFC Mini-Cricket volunteer coaches.

This wonderful occasion recognised the critical role these individuals play in instilling a love of sports in our communities and schools.

As KFC commemorates the 15th anniversary of its relationship with Cricket South Africa for the Mini-Cricket project, it is clear that this initiative has become a pillar of youth development in the country.

The KFC National Seminar’s success demonstrates the programme’s long-term influence and the volunteer coaches’ unwavering dedication.

During the national seminar, the volunteer coaches shared their experiences and gained motivation from guest speakers like Simphiwe Moyo, an expert in organisational behaviour.

They also learned new skills and talked about ways to improve the programme’s efficacy.

To demonstrate the continuous impact they have across the country, the coaches had the opportunity to meet with Proteas stars Lara Goodall, Rassie van der Dussen, Andile Phehlukwayo, and former cricketer, Mignon du Preez—athletes whose careers have also been positively touched by the project.

The seminar not only acknowledged the coaches’ contributions but also reinforced the importance of their continued involvement in shaping the future of cricket in South Africa.
