Eldos murder accused gets 10 years in prison

A detective affiliated with the Eldorado Park SAPS successfully obtained a 10-year conviction for murder, with half of that term suspended for five years.

Eldorado Park resident, Karabo Nkwanyane was convicted and sentenced to 10 years direct imprisonment for murder by the Kliptown Magistrate’s Courts, on March 14.

Nkwanyane was arrested by Lieutenant Colonel Chauke of the Eldorado Park SAPS after he stabbed and killed the victim on September 4, 2022.

According to the Eldorado Park SAPS communication officer, Sergeant Fezeka Khobo, it was alleged that both the victim and Nkwanyane were at a tavern in Freedom Park on the fateful night when he stabbed the victim once on the upper body.
