Mandela Day is a global celebration that takes place on July 18 to honour the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.
This day is a call to action for individuals, communities, and organisations to take time from their busy schedules to make a positive impact in our communities.

SADAG receives over 2500 calls daily from those who are in desperate need of support or a listening ear. An alarming one in four of the calls they receive are suicide-related.
“We run the only suicide crisis toll-free helpline in South Africa that relies greatly on kind donations from individuals.
“This Mandela Day, we appeal to many people to support us by donating R67 for their 67 minutes to help us continue to provide the vital support our fellow South Africans need,” said SADAG’s Jana Mashava.
Companies can donate on behalf of their department or team with the number 67 in mind like R670, R6 700, R67 000 or create a challenge and donate as little as R67 each or a company can challenge employees and then match every donation made.
