Skeltors FC and KYP crown youth tourney champions
U15 Kliptown Youth Program FC were crowned champions of the 2024 Kliptown Youth Tournament, Kliptown Ground, on June 17.
The u17 Skeltors FC team and u15 Kliptown Youth Program FC (KYP) were crowned champions of the 2024 Kliptown Youth Tournament following their outstanding performance during the finals at Kliptown Grounds on June 17.
KYP claimed the title after a 3 – 1 victory against Amasokolari FC and in the u17 division, Skeltors FC won 2 – 1 against Amasokolari FC.
Coach Anele Gqoboka of KYP said he was extremely pleased with his team’s performance since the beginning of the tournament.

He said although the final was difficult because they went to the halftime break with a goal down, they kept their heads up and managed to score goals and win the title.
“Going forward we will be preparing to participate in two other tournaments in September. I want my players to maintain the standard.
“We only have a few games remaining in the league from there we will focus on the tournament,” said Gqoboka.
The coach of Skeltors FC, Tumi Mahlatsi said his players enjoyed themselves and they were happy to win the final, especially because they are used to losing in the finals.

KYP and Skeltors FC were awarded with gold medals and trophies.
