Eldos police catch two suspects with unlicensed firearm
Upon searching the occupants, police found ammunition in the left pocket of the driver's jacket and a black 9mm pistol wrapped in a black jacket and brown jersey that was hidden in the breasts of a female passenger.
Two suspects aged 27 (female) and 38 (male) were arrested by the Eldorado Park SAPS Crime Prevention Unit and Anti-Gang Unit on the N1 freeway, on June 21.
According to Eldorado Park SAPS Communication Officer, Sergeant Fezeka Khobo, the members were patrolling along the N1 going to Eldorado Park when they came across a suspicious white Toyota Quantum taxi with many occupants inside.

Upon searching the occupants, police found ammunition in the left pocket of the driver’s jacket and a black 9mm pistol wrapped in a black jacket and brown jersey that was hidden in the breasts of a female passenger.
Both suspects were arrested and detained at Eldorado Park SAPS for further investigation.
Eldorado Park SAPS station commander, Brigadier Mkhacani Maluleke said they will not stop combating crime in the Greater Eldorado Park area, especially the removal of firearms and ammunition from the wrong hands.
“The safety of the community members in the Greater Eldorado Park is our concern and responsibility,” said Brigadier Maluleke.
