The founder of the bible study initiative spoke about why the fundraising concert was held before Youth Day.

“We did this fundraising event on this day because we thought that since it’s a long weekend and since tomorrow’s Youth Day, people will come in numbers without having to say that they have to go to work on Monday.

“We are fundraising mainly because we want to get the children warm clothes as it is winter,” said Letsholo.

The Ebumnandini Benkosi bible study was formed in March 2022 by Letsholo with the help of her husband, Lesego Letsholo to get children off the streets and to teach them about Christianity.

Children gather around and learn bible verses, recite them, and participate in activities such as spiritual dancing to keep them entertained.

Members of the Thuthukani Organisation and Lindiwe’s colleagues spoke about how happy they were with the children and how they feel they are achieving the goal they wanted to achieve from how the concert went.
