Three Soweto showered with donations

According to Diepkloof Square's, Mbali Sindane, giving back to the local community, especially learners means a lot to them.

As a way of giving back to the community and assisting learners in need, Diepkloof Square visited three schools to pledge donations on February 23.

Diepkloof Square, a business which prides itself in having good relationships with local schools donated an undisclosed amount of sanitary towels and school shoes to Bapedi, Thabisele and Bopanang Primary School.

According to Diepkloof Square’s, Mbali Sindane, giving back to the local community, especially learners means a lot to them.

She said it’s all about bridging the socioeconomic gap by helping learners and restoring their confidence regardless of their respective backgrounds.

Thabisile Primary School learners received school shoes from Diepkloof Sqaure.

Sindane added that as future leaders and customers, they believe that a step into a great future starts from local business and sponsors coming together to be of assistance.

“We used a list of learners in need received from the schools and as we are starting to have a relationship with these schools.

“There will be more to donate and give back because more than anything, the initiative is about how the learners feel and making them equal and confidence to the other learners,” Sindane said.

“Personally, it makes me feel good knowing that Diepkloof Square is part of local businesses that believe in encouraging positive change and standing up for what we believe rather than only using words.

“We are really hoping that going forward all plans we have with the schools will be successfully put into place and we will be receiving more smiles from our learners.”

Diepkloof Square donated school shoes and sanitary towels to three primary schools around the area.

Diepkloof Square is confident that there is more that they will be involved in when it comes to local schools this year.

“Children are our future, if we support them it means we are nurturing and looking after the future of our country. Creating a space for growth for our learners goes a long way for us. More than anything, this is us investing in future the best way we know how,” concluded Sindane.
