Local businesses invited to expo on March 1

It will also give an opportunity to learn about the importance of legal compliance and get to meet their potential clients or customers directly.

Kasi Hustlers Expo 2024 is inviting residents who would like to start their own business or already in business to join them in their upcoming business expo that will take place at Welfare Centre on March 01.

The event will be focusing on exposing young business owners to networking opportunities and funding.

It will also give an opportunity to learn about the importance of legal compliance and get to meet their potential clients or customers directly.

Kasi Hustlers event coordinator, Manqoba Dhladhla said, “Having a business expo in the township is very important because local business owners get to showcase the important role that the township economy is playing on our overall economic development.

“We are going to help with free company registrations, free FNB business bank account opening, compliance and expose them to business funding.”

He added that many businesses have a challenge of funding and accessing funding opportunities which may result in them failing in the first two to three years of operating due to lack of capital, resources and business management skills. Through the expo they are hoping to rescue businesses providing owners with all the necessary information.

Think Growth SA and the City of Johannesburg will be some of the partners to oversee the event and they have extended invitations to various other stakeholders, including SARS, SEDA, NYDA, FNB and exhibition stalls from local businesses such as 9 Bar Coffee Solutions, Mkhozi.com, Feme Lux, Jay Project Services, Emerald House of Cosmetics, Botaki ba Afrika and Forever Lady.

“We have a three session programme where stakeholders interact with the attendees on how best they can assist them.

“We also have a session where business owners get to raise their challenges so that we can know which aspect they struggle with and how we can help them going forward.

“Lastly we have business stalls where people come to sell their products and services which helps them with marketing, meeting direct customers and exposure,” he explained.

Dhladhla said they are looking forward to hosting local business owners and steering them into the right path that will help rescue their businesses from failing.

The event will take place from 10:00 to 16:00.
