LED lanterns donated to Pimville learners to cope with load-shedding

“The largest drawback for the majority of matric learners is loadshedding, which is here to stay, township loadshedding can occasionally last three to four days so the LED Lanterns are set to be part of the solution."

On January 27, the TT Mbha annual back to school campaign together with BUCO embarked on a meaningful initiative that donated LED lanterns to matric learners in Pimville.

According to the reality TV star and local entrepreneur, TT Mbha, this year the campaign decided to donate the LED lanterns for matriculants so as to help them study during load shedding.

“Our purpose is building lives, building homes and building communities and this partnership with TT Mbha has played a significant role not to just share but manifest in the communities where we operate.

“We recently opened our first store in Soweto, so when TT asked us to get involved we didn’t give it a second thought,” said BUCO executive for marketing, Lesego Moagi.
