Time for female president – All Citizens Party

All Citizens Party (ACP) launched a new branch in Ward 47, in Soweto over the voter registration weekend.

The party which was founded in Ga-Matlala A Thaba in Limpopo by Dr Senathi Fisha is set to contest the national elections in 2024.

Dr Fisha joined the celebrations to unveil the new branch as part of the visibility campaign to introduce the party to the community.

She said the formation of the party was to bring real change in Soweto and the country at large.

She stated that the formation of the party has existed for many years but was never formally rolled out until this year.

“South Africans are ready for a new regime, because 30 years after this period, we are still at a place we were in the beginning. Today we say the new party ACP has come with new rules. We are all about real change and we are saying the change starts with a leader. South Africa has been waiting for a woman president and 2024 is the year where a woman and women of South Africa must lead the country,” Dr Fisha said.

She said the party was prioritising to give employment and bringing dignity to South Africans marred by inequality and injustice.

According to the party, it has promised that major challenges such as education reform, employment and health care were high on its agenda.

She spoke on the current political climate, citing that people of South Africa needed to give their votes to a party that would bring effective services and address their needs, something which she emphasised that the ruling party had failed to deliver on.

“We have high levels of drug addiction which threatens our future so we believe South Africa needs a change in mental perception that they are first citizens of this country, and therefore refuse breadcrumbs. We will tackle this rampant unemployment, and have already started creating employment.”

All Citizens Party (ACP) National Deputy president Vusi Kunene, party president Dr. Senathi Fisha and national organiser Lufuno Gogoro arriving in Soweto.

ACP National Deputy, President Vusi Kunene, who hails from the neighbouring Mofolo North said the party’s principles and ideologies of community development resonated with him, and he too felt compelled to join a movement that was set on delivering real change and emancipation of south Africans.

Dr Fisha who is a businesswoman and clinical psychologist is the president of Fisha Health Group and president of the Fisha Foundation.

Her work as a humanitarian spans decades aiding vulnerable communities in her home town.

“The launch means that a political home for residents of Ward 47 and Soweto has been created to improve their lives.

“We are ready to hit the ground running, it is a mammoth task but we want to engage with this Ward and other communities in Soweto for real change.

“We believe with a woman President real change will be seen as woman hold the sharp end of a knife,” she concluded.
