Emshukantambo hosts third quarter awards ceremony

"They are seeing new learners advancing and doing exceptionally well on their school work."

Emshukantambo Secondary School hosted their third quarter awards ceremony on Thursday, October 19 to acknowledge and encourage learners to continue doing well on their school work.

According to the Deputy Principal, Pule Hlahane these awards have become a healthy competition amongst the learners.

They are seeing new learners advancing and doing exceptionally well on their school work.

“These awards are the proof that any learner can make it as long as they are determined to work extra hard.

“With our top three Grade 11, I am sure the class of 2024 will produce great results,” said Hlahane.

Awards motivate learners to become more productive. They create a feeling of pride and achievement and the result will be happy students.

“The main purpose is to encourage us to do better than we did before. This becomes advantageous for us to be legible to get bursaries when we apply for university,” said Ntombenhle Madonsela, a Grade 11 top three learner.

With every reward a learner gets he or she becomes more confident, proud, and also motivated to achieve more success.

Madonsela concluded by stating that, “All it takes is hard work and remembering that you are doing this for yourself and it sure brings me complete happiness.”
