Buddy Manse, Sector One Deputy Chairperson said, “The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness to the community that it is our duty to clean our streets. We need to stand as a unified community and get rid of drugs, all crimes and illegal fire arms.”

The only way to reduce the high rate of crime and doing away with drugs in township communities is when residents come together as a unity and fight against everything that threatens their safety.

According to Phillip Ratson, the Sector One Chairperson, the youth is always gunned down in the community and the elderly are now living longer than their children. Young people are either shot dead or are sinking in the pool of drugs and alcohol.

“If only people can come into forces and join the CPF, it will make Eldorado Park great again. We are tired of hearing about the problems now, we need committed people who want to help us search for solutions,” said Ratson.

The CPF aims to build trust, enhance communication, and empower communities to take an active role in crime prevention. In the context of contemporary South Africa, community policing has gained significant attention due to the country’s high crime rates and the need for effective crime control strategies.

Ratson explained that, “Schools are being vandalised and furniture is stolen every day, drugs have taken over our children.
