Google SA donates toThulasizwe primary

The organisation has chosen to work with Thulasizwe primary in order to give back to underprivileged areas.

Google South Africa donated much needed equipment to Thulasizwe primary, a school that focuses on the education and nurturing of autistic children on September 08.

This year, Google has chosen to use its allocated Disability Alliance Funding to bring joy to the learners at Thulasizwe Primary School through donating items such as paint to brighten up the playground fences, a carpet, sandpit and a wendy house.

According to the communications and public affairs manager at Google SA, Siyavuya Madikane, it remains important for them to deliver meaningful impact to the disabled community.

The organisation has chosen to work with Thulasizwe primary in order to give back to underprivileged areas.

“It has been a great day today, we really did enjoy spending time with the kids.

“We also met with the principal and staff members just to understand the challenges faced by the school and see how we can get involved,” said Madikane.

Madikane added that Google SA firmly believes in utilising its privilege for the betterment of the society and also the organisation is planning to do a little bit more for the school.

The Principal at Thulasizwe primary, Florence Dzedzemane said on behalf of the SGB, parents, learners and the staff they would like to thank the Google Disability Alliance for playing a huge role in ensuring that learners with autism feel loved and appreciated.

“I am very grateful for the gesture from Google Disability Alliance. It is heartwarming to see such a company coming to this school and donating much helpful equipment.

“I also appreciate the way the company has prioritised the safety of our security guards by providing a wendy house, so we are truly grateful,” said Dzedzemane.
