Prayer for a crime-free community held by locals

When women pray, strongholds are broken, circumstances are changed, healing takes place and miracles happen.

On August 25, the Kliptown Divine Intervention together with the SAPS and Tswelopele Senior Citizens Club joined hands in prayer at the corner Modjadji and Magaqane Road.

The aim was to bring back a safe, secure and crime free community in Pimville.

Ten years ago, there was a time when this community faced a lot of accidents and deaths which included school children.

As a result, residents came together to seek God’s intervention through prayer over the lives of children and the accidents drastically decreased.

Pastor Miso Magutyana, project manager of Tswelopele Senior Citizens Club explained that, “We were burdened to pray for Modjadji Road because in 2013 we had an influx of accidents and most of them had deaths of school children. After that prayer we saw our community being saved from premature deaths.”

This year’s prayer reminded residents to go back to their positions to pray against the high rate of crime.

“We raised an alter here and we need to service it. Our spiritual gates have fallen and that is why crime and drugs are taking over our community,” said Pastor Magutyana.

When women pray, strongholds are broken, circumstances are changed, healing takes place and miracles happen.

“We said as women it’s not time to celebrate but it’s time we take up our positions and be the women of Isaiah 32:9.

“We are rising because our children are under attack from substances and crime is taking over our society,” said Pastor Magutyana.

Throughout history, women have stood strong at the forefront of monumental change and it starts with women warriors kneeling in prayer.

Cllr Sebenzile Mabuza who was also present at the prayer session mentioned that, “Prayer is powerful and we will not surrender to evil because our God is present. I am grateful of the women who saw it fit to conduct this prayer for our community, it shows proper leadership.”

When the community as well as the SAPS come together to fight against common enemies which are drugs, crime and killings, their prayers are never conducted in vain because God hears their cries.

“Today was highly effective, it was the dawning of a new day for Pimville that God may revisit us. Today Pimville has been sanctified by the blood of Jesus,” Pastor Magutyna concluded.
