Local NGO’s receive donations

As a way of giving back to communities in need, Delivery Ka Speed in partnership with Exempler Retail has recently donated food parcels and blankets to five selected non-profit organisations around Diepkloof.

Residents were given an opportunity to nominate NGO’s that deserve to receive 250 food parcels and 100 blankets and five organisations were shortlisted from the list.

Five NGO’s in Diepkloof received the donations.

The Hammaskraal based delivery company aims to assist those in need through their community outreach programme and Exempler Retail’s Change for Good campaign.

According to Delivery Ka Speed marketing coordinator, Tshepang Langa the company prioritise the input of the customers hence they gave them an opportunity to select organisations that deserve to receive the donated items.

“For this project, we gave residents and customers an opportunity to nominate their favourite NGO on our Facebook page.

“After the nominations were cast, we were left with the top seven organisations and we conducted a background check on the five listed which received the items,” Langa said.

Langa added that this is one of their continuous projects which they have each month and every month having its own significance.

“This job is worthwhile knowing that we are able to put a smile on those in need.

The company donated 250 food parcels and 100 blankets to local NGO’s.

“Giving back to the community is very close to our hearts and we will continue spreading the spirit of Ubuntu.”
