Pimville patrollers shown appreciation with winter jackets

Shosholoza Finance preserves the warmth of the Pimville CPF members with freezer jackets.

Nana Nonkelela from Shosholoza Finance and a resident of Pimville Zone 2 donated winter jackets to CPF members as a token of encouragement and acknowledgement. The handover was made at Tshebedisano Primary school on July 14.

It takes passion and commitment to continue rendering a selfless service for your community and this is what the patrollers are doing every day and night.

Nonkelela made sure that all their dedication to protect the community of Pimville did not go unrecognised.

“I felt there was a need for us to recognise and acknowledge the beautiful job that the patrollers are doing in my community,” said Nonkelela head of CSI at Shosholoza Finance.

“Last year we had a dire need for electricity due to the uncontrolled cable thefts. These people are always on the ground making sure that we are protected.”

It is not every day that those who do good for the wellbeing of the next person are acknowledged for their tireless work while they are still alive.

These freezer jackets are a thank you gesture to the CPF and an encouragement to continue fighting to eliminate crime and creating a safer community for everyone.

Itumeleng Mokgotsi, a member of the patrollers for eight years now said, “This is a big thing, especially to me since it has been eight years patrolling without proper uniform and jackets to keep us warm during winter.

“We have been using our own jackets that have worn out. Today we are going to have more drive to protect our area and face the cold, all thanks to the Shosholoza Finance team.”
