13 arrested during Operation Skoon Maak in Eldos

Other confiscations included crystal meth drugs, khat drugs, mandrax and dagga all of which were seized during the operation.

The Eldorado Park SAPS Station Commander, Brigadier Maluleke and members led an intensified and disruptive operation on Friday which yielded positive results in the Greater Eldorado Park policing precinct.

As a result of the operation, a total of 13 suspects were detained for various offences ranging from robbery, possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, malicious damage to property, dealing in liquor, theft and business robbery.

The operation was carried out by the members of the Eldorado Park SAPS, Tactical Response Team, Community Policing Forum and Patrollers.

The addresses provided by residents of the alleged “lolly lounges” were raided, the tracing of wanted suspects conducted as well as random stop and searches.

Illegal taverns were also raided by the members, as well as dangerous weapons including knives and instruments resembling a firearm, were confiscated as a result of the disruptive operation.
