Passengers escape accident unharmed in Soweto

According to information provided, the driver was travelling in the direction of Bara mall when he lost control of the car and reared into the bridge.

Residents were left in shock after a Quantum was involved in an accident at the bridge near Chaf Pozi on May 29.

According to information provided, the driver was travelling in the direction of Bara Mall when he lost control of the car and veered into the bridge.

It is alleged that the driver of the vehicle was drinking and driving.

It is further alleged that there were four occupants in the car and no injuries were reported.

Some residents raised suspicions that the driver might have be drunk at the time of the accident.

The driver argued that the he lost control of the vehicle after noticing that the brakes had failed.

Various stakeholders gathered at the scene, together with members of taxi associations and drivers in an attempt to help remove the vehicle from the bridge.

After hours of struggle they managed to salvage the vehicle.

Residents are urged to travel with caution to their various destinations.
