“The pageant is not about beauty, or height, but bringing back moral values for the youth and installing respect and bringing back the fear of God.

“It was founded with the purpose of teaching children about holiness and life separated unto God,” said Pageant founder, Apostle Juliet Taunyane of the Christ Unity Ministries International in Glen Ridge.

The pageant launched in 2018 and is open to youngsters between the age of 12 and 19 years old. It is aimed at creating ambassadors who will preach the word of God.

This competition was judged according to four main categories and each finalist is ranked according to the total earned points in each category.

The elated 20-year-old Winner Nakeli said her crowing into the Miss Holy Bible was a dream come true, citing that this was a crown filled with divine purpose.

Nakeli, who is a former student with Unisa, shared that she wanted to inspire young people to be devoted to the kingdom of God, and wanted to use her tenure as Miss Holy Bible pursing projects and campaigns that will draw young people to serving God.

“This is a special moment for me to express what I stand for and what I’m about, and share what God has built on the side of me.

“I feel blessed and chosen because I believe I am called for ministry and this means, not just a crown but an open door to do that.

“I see myself being a good influence to young girls and opening people’s eyes about holiness and living for God,” she said.

The reign will include preaching and bible study lessons in schools, motivational talks with young people, charity drives, and hospital ministry.

Apostle Taunyane added, “Our work brings a positive impact in communities and the youth, especially schools, so we encourage them and promote moral values as they face the social ills of teenage pregnancy and drug abuse.”

Other winners included Katlego Mtshutshwane who placed as the first princess and Lelo Matabane, crowned second princess in the girls division.
