Eldos police nab 13 suspects

The arrests were made after an intensive and unannounced operation Skoon Maark by the local police.

On Wednesday April 26, the Eldorado Park SAPS arrested 13 suspects for possession of drugs, unlicensed live ammunition, malicious damage to property, dealing in liquor and contravention of a protection order.

“The suspects were found in possession of various types of drugs, including kat, mandrax, crystal meth and nyaope. They also had needles, syringes and vials used for “Bluetooth,” explained police spokesperson, Sergeant Roxanne Gibb. “As a result of the stop and searches, suspects were caught red- handed with a substantial amount of drugs. Illegal liquor outlets were also closed and the alcohol was confiscated.”

Operation Skoon Maark was carried out in several locations throughout the Eldorado Park policing precinct including Joe Slovo Park.

The suspects were taken to Eldorado Park SAPS for detention and will appear before the respective courts during the course of the week.
