Unicol Expo promotes local entrepreneurship

The Unicol Expo is proud to welcome local business owners to be part of their upcoming business exhibition that will take place at KwaLichaba Chesa Nyama on April 30.

With an aim of helping small businesses improve sales and marketing, Unicol Expo was established in July 2017 and held in in different places around Johannesburg until it found residency at KwaLichaba Chesa Nyama where it is hosted every last Sunday of the month.

Lorraine Evans, Sanele Dludlu and Dipou Mojanaga from Table Charm are thrilled to be part of the expo.

Although they have a goal of ensuring that local businesses receive exposure, they hasvenow came up with requirements of compliance that all entrepreneurs should adhere to in order to be part of the expo and are also working with various stakeholders including SARS, FNB and Nyda to provide business owners information on business.

According to the expo founder and former Editor of Gauteng News and Entrepreneur, Lungako Magida they want to connect entrepreneurs and consumers in a fun yet purposeful way and through their upcoming event also contribute to small business sales and marketing.

“The expo is an accessible and affordable form of marketing for small businesses that do not necessarily have hefty marketing budgets but appreciate having physical contact with their customers.

“We welcome any business that needs to grow their customers, or network marketers who want to recruit and build their teams, we are confident that they can benefit from the expo,” Magida said.

She added that in the upcoming edition of the expo they will be investing more of their time and resources in making it better with more impact for exhibitors and consumers.

Unicol Expo founder and former Editor of Gauteng News and Entrepreneur, Lungako Magida is welcoming business owners to join in the upcoming event.

“So far, we have non-monetary support, we solely fund the exhibition.

“This includes the venue hire, tables and chairs hire, marketing, stipends for the team and so on.

“Our current stakeholders provide support such as funding opportunities, business incubation, financial management and marketing skills to emerging entrepreneurs that exhibit with us to help accelerate growth in their businesses.”

One of the business owners who recently attended the event, Nomahlubi Mashiya the founder and CEO of IVM Beauty Spa and Training Academy applauded the team for their excellent work and for initiating the expo.

IVM Beauty Spa and Training Academy team expressed heartfelt gratitude to the team for organising the expo.

“Speaking on behalf of most small business owners, we need this. Marketing and socialising with other entrepreneurs provides us with an opportunity to sell our products and services as well as chance to learn from others in the same industry and improve where one is lacking.

“We hope more of such initiatives will be made available to the community and more business people will join,” Mashiya said.
