Lerate learner dies after an alleged assault at school
According to the police, the learner residing in Zondi, had been a victim of assault twice before he died by the same suspects.
The Jabulani SAPS are investigating the case of murder of a 16 -year-old learner from Letare Secondary School in Jabulani who died last week following an alleged assault incident that occurred at the school.

The incident said to be linked to either gangsterism or bullying at the school occurred when the learner was allegedly assaulted by fellow learners outside the school premises earlier in the month.
According to the police, the learner residing in Zondi, had been a victim of assault twice before he died by the same suspects.
Police Spokesperson, Captain Sifiso Mabizela said, “On March 10 the deceased was again assaulted by the same suspects after school outside premises and was taken to Zola clinic for medical assistance. After being treated at Zola Clinic, he was discharged on the same day.”

Mabizela further explains that the deceased complained of a severe headache and was then taken to Bheki Mlangeni District Hospital where on arrival he was certified dead.
Caption Mabizela said that the two suspects are known and their arrest is imminent.
