Nomzamo shooting case postponed for the second time

The accused made their second appearance before the Orlando Regional Magistrates court on Tuesday morning where the case was postponed to November 8.

The court case of five men linked to the Nomzamo Park tavern shooting that occurred in July has been postponed to next month.

The accused made their second appearance before the Orlando Regional Magistrates court on Tuesday morning where the case was postponed to November 8.

According to the court, this is to allow time for the State to hand over the copy of the indictment to the defence team.

The five men are facing 19 counts of murder, multiple attempted murder, and robberies with aggravated circumstances and defeating the ends of justice.

At least 16 people lost their lives and severely others injured when a group of armed men said to be travelling in a white mini bus vehicle reportedly entered Mdlalose’s tavern in Orlando East and started shooting randomly at patrons.

The accused will remain in police custody until their next court appearance next month.
