Lima Sports Programme hosts 4th annual Heritage Cup

On September 24, Lima Sports Programme held its fourth annual Heritage Cup to recognise our cultural diversity.

Derrick Maphoru, the founder of the organisation, said the day was aimed at hosting young people to participate in three activities: football, netball and chess.

“The competition was a success. The programme drew children and adults, with competitors vying for the title of champion.

“The organisation thanks all the participants who helped make it a success by attending and contributing.

Sisterhood gave sanitary pads to 300 girls, the Mahlatse Foundation gave oranges to more than 1100 children and Wonder Khaleswayo, of the Sports Chart, handled interviews.

“We also commend the team who won,” said Maphoru.
