AntiGang supports Gunsdown Movement

Roemello Shembe from Antigang is in full support of Gunsdown movement in Eldorado Park as his brand stands against any sort of violence.

Roemello Shembe a 21-year-old entrepreneur from Eldorado Park established AntiGang which is a clothing brand to raise awareness against crime, gender-based violence and substance abuse.

Shembe’s brand is a light in the community as it gives people a different perspective on life and makes them more aware of what drug abuse, gangsterism, and violence can do to one’s life.

The brand voices that there are many people who do not stand with criminals and crime and that people are tired of this social recklessness.

AntiGang changes people’s perspective on life, but it also keeps Shembe on track with his life and his plans for the business, and how he needs to conduct himself.

“As a young man from Eldorado Park who wants to achieve more has made me look at life in a different way. I used to like being all over, wanting to do things that would cost me my life such as fighting and getting into arguments. Every day I remind myself that I’m working towards something bigger and I need to represent and conduct myself in a certain manner to be able to achieve the goals that I want to achieve hence I must be an example and not live life recklessly,” said Shembe.

The gun violence which has been experienced in Eldos in recent months has resulted in the creation of the Gunsdown Movement which Antigang has been in support of.

“AntiGang supports Gunsdown because we share same vision. Gunsdown is something I feel is important and it’s something the community needs,” said Shembe.
