Spreading the warmth across the nation

For the second year in a row, Stewarts & Lloyds has taken on a national blanket drive to help those in need.

Stewarts & Lloyds has served the South African market since 1903 and for close to 120 years has supplied steel, pipe, roofing, fencing, hardware and irrigation and pump products.

Having grown and expanded to service the market nationally and more recently internationally by launching a store in Windhoek, the company has also taken on a responsibility to give back to the communities where it operates.

For the second year in a row, Stewarts & Lloyds has taken on a national blanket drive to help those in need all through the country.

 

The entire Stewarts & Lloyds group managed to help over 30 charities nationwide.

Every branch made an effort to make the event special and on top of handing out the blankets, teams also raised money and ordered groceries and necessities for charities in need.

This year, the Stewarts & Lloyds Kimberley branch stood out and took home the Spirit Trophy.

The Kimberley branch donated 50 blankets and an R2 500 food voucher to Jannie Roux Children’s Home.

The residents were also treated to R2 500 worth of soup and fat cakes to enjoy on the day. Kimberley’s donations were described as ‘a big blessing to the children’.

Annelize Kruger, Kimberley administrator, also nominated Du Toitspan Primary School as one of the beneficiaries for their winter drive, donating 29 school shoes and socks to the pupils.

The entire Stewarts & Lloyds group managed to help over 30 charities nationwide, including various SPCAs, other animal shelters, children’s homes, old age homes and more.

Every branch made an effort to make the event special and on top of handing out the blankets, teams also raised money and donated groceries and other various necessities to charities in need.
