Alicia Solomons who is the founder of the organisation shared that they distributed 220 blankets this round which adds up to a total of 470 blankets that were given to residents in Eldorado Park over this winter.

During this round the organisation also had about 65 pairs of earmuffs, scarves and gloves to donate to the children.

“They were distributed within the community to families that were in need, to homes that had suffered fires, elderly clubs and then to a few organisations within Eldorado Park such as Greater Love Ministries, Kingdom Connection Community Church, Anglican Church to name a few,” said Solomons.

The organisation called Spiritual Chords was the sponsor for these items.

“If this drive has taught us anything it is that a small gesture of kindness goes a long way, creating warmth and love within those who feel forgotten.

“Sisterhood Foundation SA aims to spread an abundance of kindness within the community of Eldorado Park and we ask that as a community we come together to heal our community.

“There are so many small acts of kindness that can be done as a step in the right direction to promote change but it all starts with us. Let us use the little we have to impact lives in a life changing way,” concluded Solomons.
