According to caretaker principal, Eden Daniels the day was planned for all grandmothers and ladies over the age of 60.

“There are so many times when we find that our learners or children do not have that respect and patient for the elderly and this was the opportunity to develop that sort of tolerance, respect and good habits,” said Daniels.

The proud caretaker principal went on to explaining that it was the Grade 7 girls who did the massages and the nail painting after they received some training.

“When the old ladies came in, they were treated so well and the girls were absolutely patient. The grandmothers totally enjoyed it and they were ecstatic.

“They left so appreciated and what I like about our girls is that they didn’t complain, they didn’t say anything nasty, they were absolutely pleased with just serving the community like that,” added Daniels.

The elderly ladies were also treated to some cupcakes and tea to go along with their pamper day.

Daniels concluded by sharing that they do not know where the pamper day may lead to but maybe some of these girls would like to go into the beauty industry after this experience. The caretaker was proud of her girls and expressed that it was amazing to see how they served the elderly.
