Little Teygon celebrates birthday by giving back to the community
Children from Eldorado Park received a warm cooked meal, juice ,and a party pack for little five-year-old Teygon Scholtz birthday.
The Scholtz family celebrated little Teygon Scholtz’s fifth birthday on June 18 by feeding children in Eldorado Park Extension 1.

Little Teygon was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (CP) when she was nine months old, which affects the body’s mobility. All four of her limbs are affected and she cannot use both her hands and legs.
Her sight was affected but is getting better as she is getting older.
She is non-verbal as it affects her speech. She also cannot eat any solid foods and therefore only consumes liquids.
When the children arrived to collect their warm cooked meal, a glass of juice, and a party pack, they sang Happy Birthday for little Teygon.
Every year on her birthday the family gives back to the children as a token of appreciation for her life.
“With her second birthday, we saw that our child can’t mingle with other children because she doesn’t respond as normal.
“That’s when I told her father that we should rather celebrate her birthday by giving back to the children in the community,” said Claudelle Scholtz, mother of Teygon.

“We say thank you to God for sparing her. The doctor said she won’t be able to survive a year but by God’s grace, she celebrates her fifth year,” added Roswell Scholtz, the father of Teygon.
The family mentioned that one of their biggest challenges has been affording certain equipment such as the feeding tube that little Teygon needs to eat from as well as her daily medication, physio and all of the doctor’s visits.
The family also expressed their gratitude for all the donations from Nazlee Alberts of Giving With A Purpose, Priya Ranchod, Tasneem Morgan, Charlene Lollan, the team from Lady in Pink and everyone that came out to make their little girl’s day very special.
