New NGO for Dobsi residents launched

Some of their objectives and vision is to help the residents of Dobsonville fight the corruption behind the allocation of RDP houses that many other South Africans have also been dealing with since 1996.

Operation Khala Mtwana, an NGO founded by Vusi Kunene was launched on June 16 at Dorothy Nyembe Park.

Some of their objectives and vision is to help the residents of Dobsonville fight the corruption behind the allocation of RDP houses that many other South Africans have also been dealing with since 1996.

They also want to help with employment, stand against GBV and give support to the LGBTQI+ community.

“We need to stand together in order to help each other fight the many issues we face in our community.

“If we don’t do anything no else will,” said Kunene.

The organisation’s slogan is; the struggle continues which complements the issues that Operation Khala Mtwana wants to assist the community with.

These problems have been raised continuously by the residents.

“I chose to help my community because the conditions that we live in are not nice or fair.

“The government does nothing about our cries which proves that we only have ourselves to make a change,” continued Kunene.

The community welcomed the organisation with open arms and are excited about it.
