Ngciva was last seen on the morning of May 31 at around 8:00 am wearing a pair of blue jeans, a black jacket with VIP protection slogan, black sneakers with yellow stripes and a khaki coloured hat.

According to the family, Ngciva arrived from the Eastern Cape in the early hours of that morning. At about 7:00am, he took a bath from and was awaiting breakfast.

The 23-year-old Siyavuya Ngciva has been missing for a week.

“We only realised that he was missing when I went to call him, thinking he was still in the bedroom but to my shock he was not there. I went to check outside but he was nowhere to be found. I don’t know at what point he left as I did not see him,” said family representative Yanga Ngciva.

The family said they suspect that the main gate was left open and that is how Ngciva managed to leave unseen.

A case of missing persons was reported at the Diepkloof police station on the same day after the family’s search yielded no results. They have since put up posters around Diepkloof and inside Bara Hospital.
