Dead body found in Protea
The police were alerted about a dead body of a man found in open field. The deceased did not have any visible injuries.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the dead body of a man found in an open field in Protea Glen Extension 29 on Friday, May 27.

The police were alerted about a dead body of a man found in open field. The deceased did not have any visible injuries. It is suspected that the deceased consumed poisonous substance. The deceased was identified by the family.
The deceased was a suspect of several Gender Based Violence cases opened by his partner. The cases range from Kidnapping, assault grievous bodily harm and arson.
The deceased was wanted by the police for the above mentioned cases and has been evading arrest.

An inquest case has been opened and an investigation is underway. A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
