Wesley Kirk who is the senior strategic recruitment partner shared that Atvanced Academy is a company that offers an Employment Tax Incentive (ETI) programme.

“We go out and source funding from corporate companies in order to offer scholarships to students. We do not give stipends and do not require the learners to do in service training or to be placed at companies to complete their courses,” explained Kirk.

Atvanced Academy had one campus in Freedom Park and four campuses in Eldorado Park. These campuses offer SETA accredited courses in Information Technology (I.T), Business Administration, Projects Management, Occupational Health and Safety, as well as Call Centre and New Venture Creations, just to mention a few.

According to Kirk, students attend class once a week for two to three hours and it is a 12-month course.

“We have been offering these courses in Eldorado Park for the past four years with over 2000 students graduating. We are currently planning on having another graduation soon. The class in Freedom Park is about to graduate so we will need another group of learners. We do not stop with registration, so the youth can come and register with us throughout the year,” added Kirk.

Angus Mace is the facilitator at the Freedom Park campus which needs 300 candidates to register for Business Administration. Mace asks that if the youth is interested in the course, they can visit the Freedom Park campus at Banner Truth Church, 1123/1 Mpumelelo Street, Freedom Park Extension 27, next to the fire station.

Registration opens on April 7. You can also register at the other four campuses in Eldorado Park.

You will need a certified copy of your South African ID; a certified copy of your highest qualification and you need to be unemployed.

If you need more information, you can contact Angus Mace on 076 614 9462 or Wesley Kirk on 061 641 1806, you can also send a WhatsApp message.
