Eldorado Park police operation a success

The Eldorado Park SAPS Station Commander, Brigadier Maluleke actively policed, as he successfully led an integrated, disruptive and intensified operation on April 1, within the Greater Eldorado Park policing precinct.

The Eldorado Park SAPS Station Commander, Brigadier Maluleke actively policed, as he successfully led an integrated, disruptive and intensified operation “skoon maak” on April 1, within the Greater Eldorado Park policing precinct.

According to Communications officer, Sergeant Roxanne Gibb, a total of 22 suspects were detained for various offences ranging from pointing of firearm, possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, theft of motor vehicle, common robbery, illegal gambling, dealing in liquor and possession of soil suspected to contain gold.

“As a result, more than 30 bags of crystal meth, 15 bags of khat, 14 mandrax tablets and powder, a gambling machine and liquor, totalling approximately to the street value of R 3000 were all confiscated,” added Gibb.

The various suspects will appear before the respective courts during the course of the week.

The community of Slovo Park also felt the police presence as Brigadier Maluleke, members and the patrollers attended to a dispute among a gang of minors and their parents.

Eldorado Park police furthermore encourages the community to continue reporting all illegal activities happening in the community. The Station Commander also expressed his gratitude to the selfless volunteers who dedicate their time to ensuring a crime-free community.
