KFC Protea Gardens open

The Colonel’s famous 11 herbs and spices are back because KFC Protea Gardens has just opened its doors.

It took 8 months but KFC Protea Gardens at long last opened its doors again on Thursday, 31 March 2022.

The store, which has been closed since July 2021, has been rebuilt and remodelled in the latest KFC store design. It features a futuristic seating design, lighting and authentic KFC elements speaking to the heritage of the iconic KFC brand.

Restaurant General Manager, Zwai Sithole, and his team are very excited to welcome back customers and is proud to be the leader of the spirited team.

Chris Deacon, CEO of Mabilo Investments, owner of KFC Protea Gardens, inspired the team, “Eight months ago there was only rubble here. But, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, we have rebuilt the store in the latest design, giving our customers a brand new store. We are keen on getting the chicken in the pot and serve our customers their favourite meals again.”

KFC Protea Gardens is now open from 9am to 9pm daily. Situated at Protea Gardens Mall, on the corner of Chris Hani Road and Alekhine Street, South Protea, the store also offers new services such as online ordering for collection. In order to take advantage of this “skip-the-queue” service, customers can download the KFC app or order from the KFC website, and collect their meals at the collection counter in-store.

KFC Protea Gardens, together with all the other KFC stores in South Africa, celebrated 50 years in South Africa last year. The store is looking forward to the next 50 iconic years serving customers their favourite, finger-licken’ good meals.
