Protea police arrested a 40-year-old man for possession of dagga on Thursday morning, March 03, at Oxtail Street in Protea Glen Extension 12.

Members of the Social Crime Prevention Unit were searching learners from a Lenasia school when they received a tip off about drugs being sold at a house in Protea Glen Extension 12.

The quickly went to the house and found a man. They searched the house and found 31 plastic bags containing dagga and the suspect was arrested.

He will appear in the Protea Magistrate’s Court this week on a charge of possession of dagga.

Protea Glen Station Commander, Colonel Molefi Mokone has commended the police for their good work and encouraged them to ensure that more drug dealers are removed from the streets of Protea.
