Through the foundation, she has groomed a girl and a boy child. With the foundation’s rapid growth, she has to date adopted 80 children from Soweto with most coming from Protea Glen.

The foundation was established in 2017 and she says that there hasn’t been any form of sponsorship, she is running everything out of her own pocket.

Her vision is to create a platform for young people to actively engage in issues and challenges they go through on a daily basis and get assisted.

“I have group sessions, study groups, fun activities, Sunday school, debates, skills development, business skills development programmes and assist with school uniforms, stationery, food parcels and there’s an open-door policy for one-on-one sessions. I’m trying to keep these children away from the streets and give them hope,” she explained.

Angel Eyes’ aim is to create a platform that empowers young children with skills so that they can have experience at a young age and have knowledge and practical experience in life. She believes that this will enable them to have skills required when they start job hunting.

“Since there’s a high unemployment rate, the skills they have acquired can help them to start their own businesses and make a living or have a source of income,” she further explained.

The foundation had a praise and worship event on February 13, and had career and sports day programme on February, 19. For their programmes to continue running smoothly, Angel Eyes says the foundation is looking for sponsors and anyone interested in helping out can visit the foundation in Protea Glen Extension 12, 9324 Jacaranda Street or contact the founder on 0712450525, or send an email to Mphahlelemaphoko8@gmail. com

“We are also in need of chairs, tables and carpets for study purposes. New members are also welcome to join the foundation,” she concluded.
