Diepkloof based Meat Meet walked away with a grand prize worth R50000

Meat Meet has been crowned Mzansi’s best shisa nyama at the Hinds Spice Chesa Champion competition. The spice brand turned up the heat over summer as shisa nyama’s in Soweto battled it out for the title of the Champion.

“The aim of the campaign was to discover Mzansi’s best shisha nyamas and give them an opportunity to showcase their flavours in partnership with the brand and claim the title of best shisa nyama,” says Shevani Singh – Brand Manager for Hinds Spices, at RFG Foods.

Diepkloof based Meat Meet, a family run business walked away with a grand prize worth R50000.

“We are so happy and excited to be crowned the champions. We love the quality of the spices and what they have done for us here in Soweto. My mother, Homi Nyakale started the business and my sister, Khothatso Mokhele and I try very hard to continue her legacy,” said the owner, Khunou Nyakale.
