20-year-old Brodwin Palmer has joined GladAfrica Championship side Black Leopards. The youngster is an attacking midfielder that can also play on the wings. His father, Gladwin Palmer could barely contain his joy.

“I’m very happy that he has a dream and is brave enough to follow it. Some of the boys he grew up playing with had given up but Brodwin continued because he had a dream. We are proud of him and wish him all the best,” he said.

Brodwin has been widely tipped as a future star, but his father warned that he would have to keep his feet on the ground and do the work to fulfil that potential.

“He has to work hard now, we spoke about that. It’s about staying disciplined and putting in 120% in the training sessions and then the rest will follow. He is such a talented boy, he just has to work hard,” he said.

Brodwin moves to Leopards from Stars of Africa Football Academy. The move was engineered by Living The dream Sports Agency, a talent management agency that is making a name for itself and currently boasts a string of talented young players among its signees.

“He’s a special player, one of those players you find once or twice in a generation. He’s in very good hands at Leopards and full gratitude to them for recognising the talent. I also want to thank the boy’s family for the trust they placed in us. We are all looking forward to a very bright future,” said the agency’s founder Andrew Molefe Matjila.
